Session #3 The dirt on garden soil

Your garden soil is more than just dirt! The process of building a dynamic, balanced garden soil is discussed, including the importance of using amendments to improve the characteristics of the soil, the contributions made by soil microbials, such as earthworms, and low tillage and benefits such as reducing the likelihood of soil diseases and as a method of pest control, are presented. Compost, fertilizers, and micro- and macro-nutrients are covered.
