About the Event

The first “GWHS Summer Institute of Colonial Arts” was held May 30, 31 2019 and it was a huge success! Classes were all make-and-take where students went home with a completed Colonial treasure! Many students signed up for multiple classes. Classes offered were painted canvas floorcloths, split oak market baskets, herbs in colonial cooking, grain painting, hooked rugs, small bench with wood dovetails, landscape painting, bronzing, needlefelted animals, and more – all arts practiced in the 1700 and 1800s. Breakfast and lunch was included in the class fee.

Plans for the 2020 Summer Institute are underway. There will be additional offerings and some new instructors. Classes may be extended into Saturday morning. Registration information will be posted as it becomes available at www.govwolf.org, visit Wolf Academy Historic Site on FB, or call Carol at 610-390-0555.  June 4-5, 2020 – SAVE THE DATES!
